2023 FAMILY VOLUNTEER DAY
with CYL and Mile High Horse Rescue
Family Friendly Service Day *for teens and their families ages 6+
On November 18, celebrate Family Volunteer Day with CYL, a national day of service that celebrates the power of families who work together to support their communities and neighborhoods.
About CYL: We work to empower high school students to lead through community service and impact.
High school students, bring your families and come to serve with Colorado Young Leaders and the Mile High Horse Rescue for the day!
For teens the their families:
Join us for a fun day at Mile High Horse Rescue! This small organization does so much for the community - let's work together to contribute in return!
There will be projects for all ages, minimum age is 6 years old. When you register, you can register as an individual or as a team. If you bringing family members, please register as a team so we can gauge how many volunteers are joining us for the whole day. If you are having difficulty registering, please email Flora.
We will work on a variety of projects. Prior skill not required, but if you or a family member have a particular skill you are excited to contribute, please let us know in the notes section on your registration! Consider the project you are most excited about working on:
- Animals: maintenance of horse stalls, animal care (may include chickens, sheep, horses)
- Art Projects: mural, general painting, crafts
- Building: fence building, light construction
- Garden Projects: general grounds maintenance and beautification
