Education Elevated

The mission of Education Elevated is to support and promote education and eliminate economic barriers in primary and secondary schools in needy communities throughout the world.

Education Elevated has focused its efforts to date on providing education for the children of the Chyangba in Northeast Nepal. Chyangba is a very small, remote village that is home to many of the Sherpa people who provide support for international trekkers undertaking Mt. Everest. However, most Sherpa families continue to live in abject poverty.

Education Elevated built a public school for boys and girls and created hostel-style accommodations for 24 girls between the ages of five and ten who live too far to walk to school every day. Education Elevated provides sponsorships for the girls to cover the cost of their education, room, and board for 10 months.

Education Elevated also supports both boys and girls by providing uniforms which are a requirement of the Government of Nepal to attend public school, as well as other needed educational items such as school supplies and teacher uniforms.
