During this day of national service and remembrance, help students in the Denver Metro area be prepared to thrive by outfitting them for school. We are serving a record number of students and are giving away more than 21,000 pieces of clothing each month.
Volunteers may work directly with the families we serve. These volunteers will help shoppers find the school clothes they need for their children and check them out when done shopping. This is a customer service position that requires a great deal of empathy, kindness and patience with our shoppers who often are in challenging circumstances and sometimes don't speak English.
Volunteers also keep our boutique fully stocked by managing incoming donations. Volunteers will sort, size and hang clothing needed to fill our racks. This role is essential to give our shoppers the most variety to meet their needs. This position requires great attention to detail to make sure we are outfitting the students we serve with high quality clothing.
On any given day, volunteers may also
Greet clothing donors.
Assemble wardrobes for our curbside service.
Keep the store organized and tidy which may include straightening clothing racks, sorting hangers, taking out the recycling or moving boxes/crates.
Help with other needs or special projects.
We ask volunteers to be flexible and go with the flow. Every day is unique!
