The Mission of Art from Ashes is to empower struggling youth by providing creative programs that facilitate health and hope through expression, connection and transformation.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
The Communications Team provides consultation and support for all agency communications to stakeholders about our work in the community with young people. This consists of communicating agency news, events, occasional poetry prompts, creation of youth poetry/art memes, videos, adult/youth creative workshop promotion, community engagement and fundevelopment.
The Team consists of the following skilled positions:
- Writers
- Editors
- Graphic designer
- Digital Video Production
- Media Coordinator
- Social Media Coordinator
The Team uses the following methods to communicate both internally and externally:
- Website
- Constant Contact
- Social Media
- YouTube
- Agency Collateral
- Communications Plan
- Events Marketing
- Public Media
There are two editorial needs for the agency:
1. Rigorous review of news items, fundraising materials, and website content for consistency, appeal and adherence to agency style
2. Youth poetry editing (requires familiarity with the specifics of poetry formatting, as well as the ability to appropriately incorporate youth colloquialisms)
