Do you know about Dorcas Circle? At Dorcas Circle, we serve Huerfano County through a food bank, clothing pantry, thrift store and more! As an all-volunteer organization, we depend on the support of our community to keep our services available to everyone.
Join us on Tuesday, August 22nd for our August Truck Day Unload. We will unpack the food delivered to us by Care and Share, bring it inside, sort it, and start to load up boxes and bags for the community. We can work with people of varying strengths and abilities to get everything done! The more help we have, the faster we can get the food ready to be handed out to our community!
If you choose to come, just make sure to bring weather-appropriate clothing and closed toed shoes. Volunteers can park in our parking lot on the South side of the building or in street parking on the opposite side of the street. Folks cannot park directly in front of our building on truck day, seeing as that is where cars line up to recieve food.
Mileage reimbursement for the trip to and from Dorcas for volunteer work can be avaiable to senior volunteers over the age of 55 in some cases. Reach out for more information!
