A Night on the Greenway is the Sand Creek Regional Greenway Partnership’s only in-person fundraising event. Each year, friends of the Sand Creek Regional Greenway gather on, or very near to, the Greenway to celebrate our collective efforts to create equitable outdoor access, foster environmental stewardship, and promote wellness in our communities.
By dedicating your time to A Night on the Greenway, you’ll directly contribute to our mission of fostering a deeper connection between the community and the Greenway. This event serves as a crucial fundraiser for SCRGP, enabling us to engage more youth, families, and adults with the wonders of nature-based education, outdoor wellness and recreation, as well as environmental stewardship.
Funds raised from A Night on the Greenway will pave the way for vital improvements to the trail and Greenway, such as the preservation of wildlife habitats and the installation of new signs and kiosks.
Volunteers who help us with this event will receive free admittance to the event and its amenities including food, beverage, and entertainment!
We anticipate needing the help of many volunteers throughout the evening to make the event a success!

Location: Hosted very near to the Sand Creek Regional Greenway at the Central Park Pavilion 8801 Martin Luther King Blvd. Denver, CO 80238
Event Run Time: 5:00pm to 8:30pm
Volunteer Shifts:
- Noon to 3:30 Set Up (5 volunteers needed)
- 3:30 to 6:00 (10 to 15 volunteers needed)
- 6:00 to 8:30 pm (10 to 15 volunteers needed)
- 8:00 to 10:00 pm Break Down (5 volunteers needed)
We will need volunteers for:
- Setup before the event
- Check in and registration of event attendees
- Activity and information booth manning (volunteer, education, community science, community wellness booths)
- Parking attendance and assistance
- The silent auction
- Attendee assistance and answering questions
- Break down after the event concludes
Volunteers will receive training and instruction prior to their role to ensure everyone is prepared for the big night!
