RecoveryWorks (RW) seeks an individual passionate about supporting the needs of those individuals in our community that are experiencing homelessness. Specifically, we are seeking 1-2 volunteers that are willing to come to our location to lead a class on painting, art, or art therapy. Here is some additional information:
- RecoveryWorks clients may be actively engaged in recovery and may be in different places in relation to their trauma journey. A teacher experienced with trauma-informed approaches is a plus.
- RecoveryWorks has limited art supplies. However, RW would be able to purchase supplies for clients to engage in art activities.
- Volunteers will need to be comfortable working with clients with different learning styles.
- Finally, all volunteers must fill out a volunteer form, sign a waiver, and submit to a criminal background check.
