Do you have an interest in outdoor education, children, science, and dinosaurs? Are you a lifelong learner who enjoys inspiring students and adults? Learn how to engage students and visitors in observation, wonder, and learning about the unique fossils, and geology found at this National Natural Landmark! No background in geology or paleontology is required and in-depth training is provided.
Dinosaur Ridge interpretive guides assist with educational tours and programs focused on the lives and deaths of dinosaurs, ancient environments, and the earth science of this amazing site. School tours/programs are conducted Sept-June on weekdays between 9am-3pm. During the summer, programs and tours are conducted for weekday summer camps. Several weekend walking tours led by volunteers are also offered to the public throughout the year.
Volunteer with our education programs as as often as you would like, with a min. commitment of 8 hrs/month for 4-6 months after completing training. Interpretive guides are needed year-round but our busiest months are April-October.
