Position Overview

Help maintain and improve the functionality of Habitat’s headquarters by assisting with small repairs and upkeep projects. This hands-on role is perfect for someone who enjoys working independently, solving problems, and contributing to a mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Repair equipment and appliances
  • Perform small landscaping projects
  • Fix minor plumbing and electrical issues
  • Repair floor, door, or wall damage
  • Mount items and assist with general upkeep
  • Follow safety rules and regulations
  • Support other facilities-related projects as needed

Qualifications

  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Basic experience in maintenance tasks (plumbing, electrical, landscaping, repairs)
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and climb ladders
  • Commitment to safety and teamwork
  • Desire to support Habitat’s mission and values

  • Attend a Volunteer Orientation. After submitting your application, you’ll receive details to sign up for a required orientation session. Orientation covers Habitat’s mission, safety protocols, and how to get started in your role.
  • Get Scheduled. Once orientation is complete, you’ll be able to sign up for Tool Trailer Organizer shifts through the volunteer portal.
