Marketing Intern position with Jefferson Symphony Orchestra
Marketing Intern wanted for the 2025-2026 Academic Year.
Part time, mostly remote position.
Will include some in person outreach to senior living communities and other
targeted audiences.
Scope of work:
Help promote brand awareness for Jefferson Symphony, grow the audience, especially in Jefferson County.
Develop relationships with senior living communities in Jefferson County to promote group sales to activity directors.
Develop relationships with music stores, music teachers and other classical music professionals to promote awareness of Jefferson Symphony.
Qualifications:
Must be a Marketing/Advertising major enrolled at college/university in the Denver Metro area. 10-15 hours per week. Will work under the supervision of Jefferson Symphony Board Marketing Chair and work with the JSO General Manager.
Previous paid retail, sales, customer service or hospitality
experience required.
Website design experience (Wix) no coding required.
Advertising and content creation experience for social media. (Meta)
Classical Music or performing arts experience preferred.
Bilingual Spanish preferred but not required.
About JSO
Jefferson Symphony is a classical
music orchestra of volunteer musicians based in Golden. We perform five concerts per year, a summer pops
concert and several recitals. We are the oldest
and
largest community orchestra in the region, now in our 73rdseason. Students
of Jefferson County Public Schools and Colorado School of Mines receive free
admission to all our concerts.
Duties:
Maintain and update JSO website on WIX platform as needed for each new event
Create and schedule Facebook/Instagram content posts (free and paid) weekly to promote upcoming events and update patrons
Write, Schedule and send all emails to various lists for each event through Mail Chimp and maintain all lists, email lists and printed mailing lists.
Increase digital subscriber lists to include senior living communities, music
stores, music teacher associations, Colorado School of Mines, public school
music teachers and other targeted audiences.
Post our events on all online and printed local events calendars
Send press
releases to digital and printed local media to promote concerts
Create any other online advertising and print based advertising
Create printed materials: postcards, fliers, print ads if needed
Help at front of the house (box office, volunteers, concessions) on concert days.
Attend monthly staff meetings
