Development Intern position with Jefferson Symphony Orchestra
Development Intern wanted for the 2025-2026 Academic Year.
Part time position.
Will include some in person outreach to local business owners, chamber of
commerce members, financial planners, tax advisors and others whose clients are
JSO supporters.
Scope of work:
Help promote brand awareness for Jefferson Symphony, seek varied levels of business sponsors to support Jefferson Symphony, especially in Jefferson County.
Develop relationships with business owners whose customers are JSO patrons
Develop relationships with financial planners, tax advisors and others whose clients are JSO supporters.
Qualifications:
Must be a Sales/Development or Non Profit Management major enrolled at college/university in the Denver Metro area. 10-15 hours per week. Will work under the supervision of Jefferson Symphony Board Development Chair and work with the JSO General Manager.
Previous paid retail, sales, and/or customer service required.
Experience using Sales Force or other CRM software required.
Classical Music or performing arts experience preferred.
Bilingual Spanish preferred but not required.
About JSO
Jefferson Symphony is a classical
music orchestra of volunteer musicians based in Golden. We perform five concerts per year, a summer pops
concert and several recitals. We are the oldest
and
largest community orchestra in the region, now in our 73rdseason. Students
of Jefferson County Public Schools and Colorado School of Mines receive free
admission to all our concerts.
Duties:
Research potential JSO business
and corporate sponsors
Contact potential sponsors to set up meetings with JSO Board members and Music
Director.
Update and track sponsor information and contact notes in the database.
Attend monthly staff meetings
