Join us this year on Good Deeds Day to do some beatification of some different parts of Walsenburg! We are partnering with HULA, the Walsenburg Downtown Revitalization Committee, and Huerfano County to do some trash clean-up, flower bed preparation, weed removal and more in our beautiful town. Join the fun and be part of the global movement that is Good Deeds Day!
We will all meet up at Heritage Park around 1PM and then people will get to choose what initiatives around town they would like to partake in. Numerous volunteer leaders will then lead their team of volunteers to the sites that need some love in Walsenburg. Engage as much or as little and you can - every bit helps.
Everyone will need to wear weather appropriate clothing and work appropriate shoes (closed-toed). If you have any rakes, shovels, gloves or other good work tools that may come in handy, please feel free to bring those along.
This opportunity will be open to folks of all ages. Volunteers that are over the age of 55 may be eligible for mileage reimbursement or other support for their time at this event through Spark the Change Colorado's Retired and Senior Volunteer Program. Reach out for more information!
