Who We Are
At Spark the Change Colorado, we are a community of innovators, connectors and collaborators. Our mission is to spark change and inspire a movement of good through the power of service, volunteerism, and civic engagement. We help volunteers, nonprofits, and companies connect to meaningful service and learning that makes a lasting impact.
We operate a Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP)- a National Service program of AmeriCorps Seniors- in many locations across the state.
What We Do
Since 1971, RSVP has been one of the largest volunteer efforts in the nation for people aged 55 and over. A program of AmeriCorps Seniors, RSVP matches older adults who are willing to help with local organizations on the front lines of meeting community needs. Spark works as a connector, recruiting and engaging RSVP Volunteers and connecting them with nonprofits on the frontlines of meeting community needs. Food insecurity is the focus area of service in our six Spark RSVP counties: Alamosa, Huerfano, Montezuma, Park, Jefferson, and Broomfield.
