It's that time again Huerfano County! On December 2nd, 2023, we are going to pack 15,000 meals that will all stay right here in Huerfano County. This program is put on by your local Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) that strives to connect local folks over 55 with valuable ways to contribute to our community. This food is especially important during the holiday season, when our local food pantries are often cleaned out.
While all are welcome, RSVP events are geared towards engaging older adult volunteers aged 55+.
This event will be catered! There will be areas to rest during the packing process. We will provide chairs for people to sit in while they work if needed. We want to make this as comfortable and fun as possible while still hitting our goal of 15,000 meals for Huerfano County. Volunteers are asked to show up 10-15 minutes before the event starts to check-in and be oriented to the tasks for the food packing. Volunteers will need to wear closed-toed shoes and comfortable clothing. Please include any dietary restrictions in the notes when you sign up.
