Empowering Latino Families and Entrepreneurs in Colorado Our Mission To elevate Spanish-speaking entrepreneurs for success and prosperity. Adelante Community Development (ACD) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting Latino families and entrepreneurs in Colorado. Our commitment is to promote economic justice, entrepreneurial growth and community resilience by providing culturally relevant resources, strategic guidance and empowerment opportunities. Founded by Maria Gonzalez, a lifelong community leader and owner of Gonzalez Insurance Group in Commerce City, ACD has become a trusted resource for Spanish-speaking entrepreneurs. Maria's vision began during the 2008 recession, when she identified the need for accessible support for Latino entrepreneurs. In 2010, she launched bi-monthly entrepreneurial workshops that evolved into ACD, the first nonprofit in Adams County to serve monolingual Spanish-speaking entrepreneurs. Today, ACD works to democratize strategic business planning, improve digital and financial equity, and build stronger communities through programs designed to address the unique challenges facing Latino business owners. We take pride in helping small and medium-sized businesses thrive, fostering a legacy of innovation and entrepreneurship within the Latino community.
