Who We Are
WE PROVIDE financial assistance to those suffering from a medical crisis or long-term illness. WE SUPPORT locals in the Vail Valley, distributing $9.4 million to over 2,100 families since 1996. WE BELIEVE in helping locals overcome financial burdens from serious medical setbacks. WE ARE the Vail Valley Charitable Fund.
What We Do
Since 1996, the Vail Valley Charitable Fund (VVCF) has provided assistance and community support for Vail Valley locals experiencing financial need due to a medical crisis. The VVCF offers the following portfolio of programs designed to encourage whole-body health and wellness while allowing the applicant to focus on healing over financial stressors. Direct Aid, the cornerstone of our programs, gives financial Aid based on need, up to $7,500, to applicants facing a medical crisis or long-term illness; we strive to help an average of 50 applicants annually. Vail Breast Cancer Group (VBCG) program provides comfort to community members facing a breast cancer diagnosis; we serve up to 20 patients per year; many of those women are also helped with our direct aid program. Eagle County Smiles (ECS) provides dental care and education to youth ages 0 to 18. Eagle County Grins (ECG) provides $1,500 in funds to help adults pay for dental treatment and connects applicants to existing CHP+ Medicare and state benefits.
