Who We Are

A hub for healing community, social action, and creative collaboration The Refuge is deeply dedicated to centering those who fall through the cracks of life and faith, living out our shared values in tangible ways, non-hierarchical team leadership, and collaborating with community partners because we are always better together.

What We Do

We are dedicated to caring for people who fall through the cracks of life and faith--those experiencing homelessness, single parents, people with significant mental and physical health challenges, LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC individuals and families, vulnerable senior citizens, and people struggling to access essential services. At The Refuge Cafe, we offer free lunch, accessible showers, outdoor and personal care supplies, advocates, connection to local resources, healthcare advocacy, and social worker interns, in addition to a mobile outreach team who intentionally connect with people experiencing homelessness in Broomfield outside the four walls of agencies. The most important resource The Refuge provides is healing community and dignity restoring practices to help empower and heal; at The Refuge, everyone gives and everyone receives.
