The Projects Team makes sure projects are completed safely and to the best of everyone’s ability through distributing yard signs to identify homes where projects are taking place, managing the dumpster and trash/debris removal, and answering project related questions that arise from volunteers and Project Leaders.

The Logistics Team ensures Work Days run smoothly and efficiently by checking in volunteers as they arrive, selling merchandise, setting up lunch, and assisting with any other tasks that arise throughout the day.

The Video Team tells stories about the connections that happen through ECM by producing videos while sharing organizational goals. These videos will be used in email communication, social media, special events, and on the website.

The Survey Team facilitates communication between English and Spanish speakers during Work Days, since team members are bilingual, while also initiating conversations during Survey Days to identify projects for future Work Days.

The Neighborhood Team connects people in the neighborhoods where ECM works in order to encourage people to get to know their neighbors while getting the word out about how to get involved in future projects.

The Follow-Up Team connects residents with neighbors and organizational partners who can provide additional resources in the community through sharing resource packets that highlight those programs and services.

The Supplies Team confirms volunteers have the supplies needed to complete their projects, while monitoring the inventory of available supplies at the Command Center and toolshed. Team members can also develop relationships with businesses that can provide project supplies at discounted prices or at no cost.

The Fundraising Team supports fundraising events and initiatives throughout the year, while also supporting Work Day events in whatever ways needed.

The Communications Team engages residents and volunteers in conversation during Work Days in order to learn about people’s experiences and to share stories through blog posts and social media.

The Photography Team creates memories from the Work Days through taking photos that are used on blog posts, print materials, social media, personalized thank you cards, and the website.

The Good Neighbors program offers one-on-one support for residents. Volunteers are paired with a resident to assist with tasks like organizing, completing forms or paperwork, handling small household chores, or simply visiting and providing companionship.

Volunteers will need to complete and pass a background check. Once that step is complete, matches will be made based on available skills of volunteers and needs of residents aligning, along with taking the geographic location of both individuals into consideration.

From there, a "meet and greet" will be scheduled to ensure both individuals have a chance to meet and ask questions of one another to determine if it will be a good fit. When both individuals agree to moving forward, that's when a match is made.
