Women Partnering is looking for volunteers to assist with light office work and entering client data for grant reports. We'd love someone to come 1x weekly for 3 hrs.

Our Volunteer Advocates work directly supporting survivors and loved ones on our 24-hour hotline. Our 24-hour Crisis Hotline provides support and information to survivors of sexual assault and sexual violence. Volunteer Advocates are trained in crisis intervention, emotional support, advocacy skills and referrals to local community resources. Because calls are confidentially patched through to any number the advocate likes, working on the hotline is an incredibly flexible way to make a very direct impact. Previous experience with advocacy work is not required, though we require hotline advocates to attend our 40-hour hotline training and commit to picking up 4 shifts (6 hours each) per month for at least a year. 

Sexual Violence impacts us all and as an advocate you will find immense meaning in supporting survivors directly on the hotline and make an immediate impact in your community. Our volunteers often say that the skills and experience they gain from this role help them in all areas of their personal and professional life. The Literacy Coalition of Colorado (LCC) aims to connect and support non-profit adult education providers throughout the state. We do this by providing training for tutors and teachers (volunteer and paid), by offering networking opportunities for adult educators, by providing information on adult literacy on our website, by sending informational emails to our membership, and by advocating for increased funding for adult education. Colorado is one of the lowest-funded states in foundational adult education, including emerging literacy, high school equivalency (GED or HiSET), English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), US Citizenship exam preparation, and digital literacy. We need regular volunteers who are willing to come in weekly and assist us with administrative needs. We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers that can work regular shifts.
Shifts can be flexible but we need people that can commit to come in regularly for a minimum of 3.5 to 4 hours (for example 9:00 - 12:30 or 12:30 - 4:00) one day a week). You would need to make a commitment of at least 6 month. Times are flexible if you need to pick up/drop off children or take vacations.

Board Recruitment Announcement (General)

The English Learning Center Denver (ELC) is seeking volunteer leaders to join its dynamic board of directors.  At this time we are particularly in need of someone who has experience with accounting, specifically familiarity with QuickBooks.

Board members are actively involved in organizational governance, and are expected to attend monthly board meetings, either in-person or by teleconference.  Each applicant is also expected to serve on at least one committee for 6 months before becoming a board member.  Committees meet once per month for about one hour.  Members are also expected to make a personal financial contribution within their means or solicit personal or corporate funds.

Nature Preschool: Start your mornings off right with 4 & 5 years old, facilitating deep place-based, nature connection. You may walk away with your own nature connection to the special spots that you explore with these students!

After School: Connect to your community and neighborhood outdoor spaces through spending 2 hours each week co-teaching an after school programs. We have program locations at nine schools in Boulder, Longmont, Lafayette, and Broomfield.

Help reduce food insecurity for home-bound individuals and families by volunteering to deliver food to our neighbors! Benefits in Action helps home-bound seniors and families without transportation access additional nutrition through free, monthly deliveries of fresh and non-perishable food. Deliver to Adams, Arapahoe, Denver, and Jefferson counties. 

Volunteer Delivery Drivers must have a vehicle that can accommodate 6-8 boxes (12"x12"x16"), a cell phone, and be able to lift about 20 pounds and navigate steps and stairs to clients homes. Pick up at the Benefits in Actions Warehouse (2080 W. Barberry Pl.) and deliver to a partner bulk delivery location or individual homes/apartments in your home zip code. Deliveries take place Tuesday - Saturday, mornings or afternoons. Number of deiveries depends upon volunteer vehicle size and preference.

To ensure the safety of our clients, we conduct a background screening that includes criminal and driving record search. We require volunteers to provide a current drive's license and proof of automobile insurance.

Families with children 10 or older or teams may deliver food together with prior approval.

This volunteering role as a Technical Employment Coordinator aims to make a life-changing impact by helping immigrant, refugee, and asylee clients move beyond low-paying jobs and into higher-skilled, higher-paying positions aligned with their professional and educational backgrounds. The goal is to address the issue of Brain Waste, where 25% to 30% of college-educated refugees and immigrants are relegated to low-paying jobs well below their abilities.

As a Career Mentor Volunteer, you will be responsible for guiding clients toward their desired career fields. This includes enrolling them in relevant training and recertification programs, reviewing their resumes, job matching with our employer connections, and following up to ensure their success.

This is an unpaid volunteer position that requires a minimum of a 2-hour/week commitment. The position offers training on the refugee process of arriving in the US and the various challenges they face in obtaining skilled employment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

· Work with IT employers and New Americans to help clients secure appropriate employment.

· Evaluate candidate skills to identify suitable positions.

· Maintain and grow relationships with existing technology employer recruiters and share candidates for opportunities within their organization.

· Develop an individualized career development plan with job seekers (training provided).

· Keep detailed relationship records using the Salesforce database.

· Ensure a positive candidate experience on all fronts.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

· Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a related field or holding a high school diploma.

We are in need of someone to take an Afghan Family of 6 to ESL classes. It will be on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9am-12pm. You will need to use your own vehicle. Pick up would be in Lakewood near Alameda and Sheridan and drop off near 70th and Pecos. 

We are looking for people to mentor one to two young people in our community. This would include meeting with them once a week for 2 hours. Working with them on the steps in will take to accomplish their dreams or goals in life. We have 12 community members that are in need of learning English. We are looking for volunteer to teach/host a class at our main location in Lakewood, CO.

The Colorado Agrivoltaic Learning Center, established in 2020, showcases the coupling of clean energy and agricultural activities to educate and inspire our community to take action to promote land stewardship within solar arrays. Our 2024 goals are to 1) empower and facilitate  pportunities
for farmers, ranchers, and agribusinesses to work within and adopt agrivoltaics, 2) create a policy environment at the state and local levels that enables, prioritizes, and incentivizes agrivoltaics, and 3) provide education to students and the community showcasing the benefits of agrivoltaics as a solution to our food, water, and energy challenges. Our Advisory Board is made up of specialists in their fields who use their expertise and network to support the goals of our organization.

Agrivoltaics is the utilization of microclimates created by solar panels to improve the stewardship of the land beneath them. Agrivoltaics consists of agricultural jobs, livestock, crops, herbs, berries, or soil health activities to benefit ecosystem services underneath and around solar arrays. Solar array system redesigns and construction practices that increase the height of solar panels, improve the security of electrical wires, and do not degrade lands during installation significantly contribute to enabling agrivoltaics.

In 2024, we are looking to add five new advisory board members to our organization with each board member specializing in at least one of the following different categories:
- Agriculture (Farming / Ranching)
- Land Use Planning
- Tourism
- Solar Energy Industry
- Philanthropy / Fundraising
- Banking / Finance
- Colorado University System
- State of Colorado Policymaking / Public Utilities Commission
- Finance / Accounting

Expectations of advisory board members are to attend the scheduled two-hour quarterly meetings (for 2024 they are at 1pm on May 21,  August 20, and November 19), engage with Colorado Agrivoltaic Learning Center staff in your specialty area at least once a month, and help connect staff to your network to achieve the goals of our organization.

Prospective advisory board members are encouraged to submit a brief application consisting of a recent resume and a short (no more than one page) letter stating their interest in and how they plan to support our organization.

A REVEL mentor is somebody who facilitates meaningful experiences for REVELers by building connections, supporting activities, helping where needed, and by honoring REVELer values and agency. They are the heart of our community by inspiring the group to try new adventures and build meaningful relationships. REVEL mentors are energetic, positive role models who help provide guidance and a fun time for our REVELers.

Volunteer mentors will be given an initial training on autism, REVEL and mentor responsibilities. You must pass a background check. Mentors will be supervised by a program manager and supported throughout their time at REVEL.

Position Overview:

As a Warehouse Volunteer, you will be an essential part of our team, helping to facilitate operations and ensure distribution of food to families in need. This position involves unloading and organizing food inventory, packing 'Totes for Hope' and pantry boxes going out to our schools and maintaining a clean and efficient warehouse environment. 

This role provides a hands-on opportunity to make a tangible difference in the fight against food insecurity in our community.

At our mobile food market, we are dedicated to providing food security to students and families in our community. As a strategic year-round weekend food program provider in partnership with the Food Bank of Rockies ‘Totes of HopeTM’ ; our mission is to ensure no child in Jefferson County goes hungry over the weekends.

Position Overview:

As a Faith Based Liaison for Jeffco Eats, you will play a critical role in our mission and the success of our programs. You will meet with faith based organizations to explain our mobile food program and the value it brings, as well as, coordinate the distribution of totes via these locations. This position offers a chance to be an active part of a solution to address food insecurity in our community. 

Key Responsibilities:

Relationship Management: Organize and maintain a master list of contacts, including email, phone, liaison schedules and backup contacts. Work to identify local organizations to partner with - establish a process for quickly identifying an organizations’ interest and capacity to partner. Ensure continuous relationship with liaisons across faith based organizations. Brainstorm and implement multi-channel strategy for strengthening partnerships and soliciting feedback on a regular basis to help grow the program.

Resource Distribution: Partner with Operations Manager to ensure successful distribution of totes to partner locations; work with leadership team to plan for scale and accelerate impact ; reach to families through these distribution centers.

Fundraising: Engage organizations; foster relationships to support fundraising activities such as hosting or participating in a Food Drive, promoting seasonal donation campaigns, etc. 

Advertising and Education: Create communication campaigns to promote and educate faith based organizations and their constituents about mobile groceries, food safety, etc.  Assist with the planning and coordination of promotional opportunities for and within these organizations; such as pitching Jeffco Eats on sundays mornings and other times of worship, advertising in bulletins, etc. 

Miscellaneous Tasks: Assist in other tasks such as coordinating with drivers, managing pop up markets, performing administrative duties, and representing Jeffco Eats at faith based events.

The Assistance League of Denver's Thrift Shop is seeking volunteers to help receive and sort incoming donations. This role is essential to keeping the ALD Thrift Shop fully stocked and proceeds fund the organization's philanthropic programs that benefit schools, families, and seniors in the Denver metro area.

The ALD Thrift Shop is open Monday through Saturday from 10 AM to 4 PM and donations are accepted at the back of the building from 11 AM to 2 PM. It is staffed and managed entirely by volunteers, while having a reputation as one of the best and friendliest thrift stores in the Denver area.  

As a CASA volunteer, you will be responsible for carrying a case to include child/ren of a family, frequently with complex family structures. Your duties and time commitments will include:

The Hanger is a gently used clothing store for our foster youth in the community, free of charge to them. Volunteers in this program organize the store and supervise the youth Saturday's 12-3pm. 

A Little Help is a non-profit that connects volunteers with older adults to help them age well in their homes. We serve the Metro Denver area including Jefferson, Aurora, and Arapahoe Counties, Larimer and Weld Counties, and the Western Slope.  

We need your help to volunteer with these older adults to help them with things like transportation, yardwork, light indoor cleaning, tech support, errands, and friendly visits or calls to help meet their social needs. We have a totally flexible volunteering model where once you go through our application (including a free background check) you are able to select the opportunities that you want to do. We have no volunteer hour minimums and most of our requests are scheduled on a timeframe that works for you and the older adult.

The Intake Coordinator(s) at Marian House provides support to the on-site Benefits in Action Navigators. The Intake Coordinator greets clients, providing education and initial assistance. The Intake Coordinator is the first contact community members have with our organization and thus, is responsible for providing exceptional customer service.

Marian House is one of the largest providers for individuals experiencing homelessness in Colorado Springs. It operates a soup kitchen from 10:30am to 1:30pm, serving a considerable number of people in need. Additionally, Marian House offers a wide array of services: job search assistance, medical services, programs for families, and more.

Benefits in Action at Marian House provides education, benefits navigation, and application assistance onsite at the Marian House weekly (every Wednesday) during the soup kitchen and SET Clinic hours from 10:30am to 1:30pm.

Volunteers must be comfortable using online databases and application systems and have experience with Microsoft Office products. Volunteers are required to complete reporting for this assignment and service hour reporting.

The Assistance League of Denver's Hospital Equipment Lending Program (HELP) is seeking volunteers to work with clients in need of medical equipment. We deliver to 10-12 different pre-arranged schools each day.
Dollies and wagons are used to load and unload the food orders.
You will be given a printed delivery schedule with all the needed information to contact each school with an ETA and what you will be delivering.
No special driver’s license is needed. Insurance coverage is provided.

-Must be able to lift up to 30lbs

-Ability to drive, load and unload a 14 ft truck. Available Tuesday or Thursday mornings between 8am-12pm

Position Overview:
As a Warehouse Volunteer, you will be an essential part of our team, helping to facilitate operations and ensure distribution of food to families in need. This position involves unloading and organizing food inventory, packing 'Totes for Hope' and pantry boxes going out to our schools and maintaining a clean and efficient warehouse environment. 

As a Sub:

You will be available on one of our warehouse days (Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday morning from 8am-12pm) on a "on call" basis if one of our volunteers calls out.

We are building community through reading and looking for individuals who are passionate about sharing ideas and discussing books. This volunteer position will be responsible for organizing and managing a themed book club that meets at the library, communicating with library staff and book club members, and facilitating discussions.

The Book Club Lead Volunteer will be responsible for managing a monthly book club at the library. This will include:

Any civic-minded group or individual is welcome to adopt-a-street. The Adopt-A-Street Program requests each group sign up for a one year commitment, which can be renewed annually. Each group will be supplied with an ample amount of reflective vests to be worn during their clean-up times and orange bags for the groups to use in the collection of trash/debris. The Sunnyside Music Festival is a nonprofit organization that builds community through a free, family-friendly music festival. Our annual event supports local bands, businesses, and artisans through year-round programming. Proceeds from our event support youth music programs across North Denver through our small grants program.

As an entirely volunteer-run organization, the Sunnyside Music Festival is seeking new working board members to join our team. This is an incredibly rewarding experience and the most fun group of people you’ll ever meet. It is a great way to give back to your community and stay connected to the businesses, schools, artists, and musicians that make it so unique.

Board Requirements

Commit to a three-year term beginning January 2025.

Attend monthly board meetings currently held on the 1st Wednesday of the month from 6-9 p.m. 

$200 annual dues (this generally ends up covering meals during our meetings). 

Serve on 3-4 committees: (Sponsorship, Marketing, Merchandise, Kids Area, Volunteer Coordination, Activities, Music, Grants) who may meet 1-2x/month depending on the time of year. 

10-20 hours/month time commitment: Time varies depending on committees and how close it is to the festival. 

An interest in learning all about what it takes to put on an amazing music festival!

A desire to work on a team and make new friends. 

Commit to working the entire day of the festival, Saturday, September 13, 2025. (The festival is always held the 2nd Saturday in September.) 

You do not need to live in Sunnyside to be part of the board, though monthly meetings typically take place across North Denver.

If you are interested in being involved with the festival but are unsure if you can commit to the board member requirements, we are seeking volunteers to join committees based on their skill sets. We are recruiting for the following positions: 

1 Grant writer - Seek out different grants, apply for, and manage grant opportunities.

2 Graphic design volunteers - Creation of social media assets, year-round event signage, stage banners, bar signage, support creation of merchandise, etc.

2 Volunteer Coordinators - Organize a vision for the volunteer committee including recruitment and retention. Builds relationships with volunteers and maintains long-standing partnerships. Outlines and communicates roles of volunteers throughout the year as well as day-of. 

If you are interested in volunteering but don’t identify with any of these skill sets, please still apply! We have 8 different committees (Grants, Sponsorship, Marketing, Merchandise, Kids Area, Vendors, Volunteer Coordination, and Activities) that would all benefit from your thinking. Community representation is as important to us as hard skills. We value a variety of perspectives, backgrounds, and skills as essential to an effective and inclusive board experience.
