Description

Community Bucket is a local club that mobilizes groups of volunteers to give back locally and connect socially around Denver. We partner with some amazing nonprofits around the city to create fun, welcoming, and impactful events geared towards people in their 20s and 30s. We were originally founded in Atlanta in 2012, and we established our Denver chapter in 2018. Since then, we’ve hosted dozens of volunteer projects, logged thousands of service hours, and brought together hundreds of like-minded people to experience the best of Service Made Social.

Our organization is growing and is working to re-establish our programming in Denver. We are currently seeking motivated candidates to join our leadership team and build on our past efforts to take CB Denver to the next level.

We have three core roles on the team: 

 

Director of Marketing & Promotions 

  • Responsible for event promotion and volunteer recruitment to drive attendance and engagement - Getting volunteers to the event
  • Managing the local social media accounts 
  • Writing and sending email communications to promote events, primarily via Meetup 
  • Designing any relevant graphics, flyers, and posts 
  • Finding local groups and other partners to increase our presence and awareness around Denver

Director of Operations

  • Responsible for the event logistics and day-of coordination to create well-run experiences for our attendees - Making the events run well 
  • Managing the supplies and food needed for every event
  • Preparing with the nonprofit partners to make sure 
  • Finding and delegating event captains to own various aspects of the event execution
  • Managing the registration for all events on Meetup, from the event posting to pre and post-event emails to attendees

What’s required to serve?  

  • The commitment for each of these roles is 10-20 hours per month, with some variability depending on the season and where we are with planning. 
  • The core team meeting cadence is monthly, and this is a chance for planning and tackling core tasks. 
  • We also ask that each director is present for at least one event per quarter, although attending more frequently is encouraged. 
  • The duration of a Director's role is 15 months
