Craft Carousel Gift Shop Volunteer

One three-hour shift per week. Either 9 am-noon or noon-3 pm. Prefer commitment of a minimum of 6 months.

Duties: 

1. Display sale items
2. Sell and record items
3. Receive and record consignments
4. Tag consigned items
5. Check stock and keep consignors informed when their stock is low
6. Make appropriate change and handle cash and credit transactions
7. Straighten and clean display cabinets
8. Promote the shop
9. Attend monthly craft carousel volunteer meeting

Training: 

1. On-the-job training with an experienced volunteer
2. Craft Carousel procedures manual
3. Staff’s support

Qualifications: 

1. Background check required
2. Provides friendly customer service
3. Knowledge of cash and credit transactions
4. Dependable
5. Able to handle busy, as well as slow times
