RecoveryWorks seeks 1-2 individuals passionate about supporting the needs of those individuals in our community that are experiencing homelessness. Specifically, we are seeking volunteers that are willing to come to our location to provide training in some or all of the following areas: basic computer skills, basic smart phone or tablet skills, how to build a resume, or how to set up social media accounts to access/reconnect with loved ones. Additional information:
- RecoveryWorks has some, but limited, computer resources for clients.
- Most clients have their own personal mobile devices.
- RecoveryWorks is flexible on what computer-related topics are taught. We understand volunteers have different experience, skills and interests in these areas.
- The volunteers must be experienced with providing training for audiences with different learning styles and skill levels.
- Finally, all volunteers must fill out a volunteer form, sign a waiver, and submit to a criminal background check.
