Volunteer: Change a Child's Story as a CASA Volunteer!CASA, Court Appointed Special Advocates, is a volunteer-based, nonprofit organization with the mission to provide court-appointed volunteer advocacy for children and youth from the child welfare system so every child can be safe, have a permanent home, and have the opportunity to thrive. CASA Volunteers are trained to represent the best interests of child victims of physical, sexual, or emotional abuse and neglect who are currently in the child welfare system. CASA Volunteers are supervised by CASA team members and work alongside the child’s legal and professional team. They ensure that the child’s physical, mental, educational, and emotional needs are being met, and advocate for the child in court, all while supporting them in their journey to find a safe and permanent home.
