Description

If you're interested in volunteering in this capacity, please RSVP now. Specific dates within this date range will be sent to you once you've been trained. You get to choose which dates to volunteer on!

The Denver Emergency Operations Center and Joint Information Center activated July 24, is bringing together a coordinated citywide response to the homelessness crisis affecting many Denverites. The goal is to house 1,000 unsheltered individuals and permanently close encampments by the end of 2023.

Mayor Mike Johnston's administration is working to deliver a safe, affordable, and vibrant Denver for every single resident. These pillars represent the four major initiatives that will build on each other to make Denver a leader on affordable housing, public safety, and economic opportunity.

Volunteers will be welcoming guests to their new homes. Volunteers will be expected to be social with strangers and carry guest's belongings, including trash bags.

Volunteers will be required to pass a background check, sign a waiver, and complete orientation. Once you've finished that, we'll send you the specific dates and you will be able to sign up online for your shift choice on the designated day.
