Justice Necessary

Who We Are

Our Mission Justice Necessary strives to support and amplify the efforts of those on the front lines, ensuring every Coloradan has access to basic hygiene essentials. Each day without access to basics like clean diapers or period products means another family is left on the brink, another teenager without critical support, and a growing impact on people’s physical, mental, emotional, and social well-being. Something as simple as a diaper, a bar of soap, or a toothbrush can be life-changing. It can mean the difference between accessing childcare, securing a job, or staying in school with confidence. Justice Necessary was founded to support our neighbors ensuring they receive the critical hygiene essentials that assistance programs like WIC and SNAP don’t cover.

What We Do

To date, we’ve proudly provided over 8,000,000 organic period products, eco-friendly diapers, wipes, and basic hygiene essentials. Our dedicated volunteers work with us to pack period products, hygiene kits, and laundry kits to be distributed throughout Colorado. In 2023 and 2024, Justice Necessary’s team worked tirelessly in partnership with legislators and school groups to bring attention to the hidden crisis of period poverty in our community. The result was the passage of HB24-1164: Free Menstrual Products to Students, critical legislation that will ensure access to period products for Colorado students.
