Who We Are
Founded in 1998 as a shelter program, Growing Home (GH) came to understand homelessness as a multifaceted issue and evolved into interconnected programs fostering stabilization and elevating community voices to create a thriving, healthy, and equitable North Denver. Our community-centered approach, wraparound services, and advocacy/organizing work drive action in food, housing, parenting education, and lifelong stability to create lasting change for the future. GH takes a unique community-centered approach, blending direct services and community action in partnership with those with lived experience (our participants) and our stakeholders to accomplish our mission. GH gives voice to underserved and underrepresented community members—largely monolingual Spanish-speaking, with over 99% of our participants low-income, 81% identifying as people of color, and 90% female.
What We Do
Growing Home supports self-sufficiency and stabilization for low-income individuals and families experiencing barriers to success so they stay housed, have access to food, acquire parenting and life skills, and thrive.
Our Mission: In partnership with the community, Growing Home advances equity in food, housing, parenting education, and lifelong stability to create lasting change for the future.
Our Vision: Growing Home envisions a thriving, healthy, and equitable society for all.
