Who We Are

Marisol Homes is an extended-stay shelter for single and expectant mothers.

What We Do

Marisol Homes operates on a transformative two-generational model, addressing the needs of both caregivers and children to break the cycle of generational poverty. With a capacity for 16 families, the shelter provides a supportive environment for up to a year, offering intensive case management, on-site therapists, and healthcare navigators. Through dynamic collaborations with community partners such as the Center for African American Health and Thrive Works, Marisol Homes delivers a comprehensive range of enrichment programs, including parenting, financial literacy, job coaching, and art therapy. The shelter's commitment to peer support fosters a sense of community, reinforcing the holistic approach to empowerment. By combining these services, Marisol Homes stands as a beacon of support, guiding families toward self-sufficiency, permanent housing, and the ultimate goal of ending the cycle of generational poverty.
