Vision: Standing together, building communities of Sisterhood, and realizing endless potential! Mission: To advance equity in all aspects of Black women and girls’ lives through community, vital education, scholarship, social connectivity, emotional support, networking, and forums to showcase their creativity in a global environment. Our public charity is a results-oriented public charity that strategically plans its path to reap intended results. After 27 years as a community-caring informal group, we incorporated and acquired status as a tax-exempt public charity to expand our impact. Although it is virtually an all-volunteer charity without sustained income streams, Sister-to-Sister, Inc. continues to grow its reputation for excellence and can-do spirit. An inclusive nonprofit, we welcome all individuals and organizations that will help advance equity for Black women. Our “no demands, unintimidating, nurturing safe spaces” allow constituents rare opportunities to rest from institutional and systemic racism that adversely affects their health, general well-being, and quality of life. In addition to such safe havens, Sister-to-Sister, Inc. offers: ❖Statewide and regional visibility of Black maternal and infant mortality and morbidity, public health crises. ❖Skill-building training (e.g., effective oral, written, and interpersonal communications). ❖Hybrid education workshops, to strengthen mental, emotional, and physical stamina. ❖Online educational resources. ❖Youth and adult mentoring. ❖A female-focused financial literacy series, in association with a Financial Institution. ❖Experiential student internships. ❖Career coaching on a cost-based sliding scale in partnership in association with an affiliate. ❖Sisters Excel: Her Story, a quarterly broadcasted inspirational leadership podcast accessible through YouTube, Apple Music, and Spotify. ❖Opportunities to market products, goods, and professional services. ❖Volunteer opportunities to supplement employment credentials. ❖Discounted cultural educational travel in association with an affiliate.
