We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit that promotes and celebrates the AANHPI (Asian American Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander) communities in Colorado. We do this through many different programs. The Colorado Dragon Boat Film Festival (only all Asian and Asian American film festival in Colorado), the AANHPI Emerging Leaders Program (free leadership program for upcoming leaders in the community, the Riverdale Regional Park Dragon Boat Regatta (dragon boat racing event), and our largest event, the Colorado Dragon Boat Festival. This is the largest Dragon Boat Festival in the USA (in 2023 we have an estimate of over 200K attendees over the two days). We are also the largest Asian celebration in the Rocky Mountain Region.
The mission of Colorado Dragon Boat is to build bridges of awareness, knowledge, and understanding between the diverse Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities and the general public through cultural education, leadership development, and athletic competition.
